Step into the world of customized shoes

For my custom shoe art, I use the Angelus paint brand, which is a specialized paint for canvases like shoes. As I paint, I apply multiple firm coats of paint to ensure a solid color. After the art is complete, I apply an Angelus paint varnish to seal the colors, later applying an Angelus water protectant spray over everything. This all ensures a safe and wearable pair of sneakers.

For the drawings, I use Copic markers and Micron pens. Copic markers are alcohol ink based markers, designed to blend easy or to give a solid color in the drawing, rather than being blotchy and uneven. Micron pens are the perfect pen to pair with Copic markers, as they come in many sizes and are very solid and bold pens. They are perfect for outlining all of the art, adding shadows and giving the art an extra “pop.” Both of these materials are essential to give the comic-style art the “retro comic style.”
